Why You Should Invest In An Atlantic City Timeshare
Atlantic City has long been known for its many casinos and resorts. However there is more to Atlantic City than meets the eye. If you are looking for a fun place to invest in a timeshare, you will find that Atlantic City will suit just fine. Its great for couples, seniors, and families with children who want to play on the beach and enjoy fun in the sun.
Atlantic City is located on Abescon Island which was once the home of the Lenni-Lanape Indians. The island was sold to Thomas Budd who was an Englishman that arrived in the area during the 1670s. Budd was given the island and some acreage on the mainland and between the time he acquired Abescon and 1758, only the Indians and hunters ever set foot on it. In 1758 Jeremiah Leeds built the first permanent structure on Abescon and shortly thereafter the island was populated.
In 1854 the first train arrived on the island after resident Dr. Jonathan Pitney suggested the island be used as a health spa. He teamed up with a civil engineer named Richard Osborne to make this happen and Osborne is credited with naming the city, Atlantic City. All of the streets that ran parallel to the ocean were named after the major bodies of water of the world: Pacific, Atlantic, Mediterranean, Adriatic, Arctic and Baltic. The streets running east to west were named after the States.
In 1976 Atlantic City was reborn when the Casino Gambling Referendum was passed. The city grew to find itself one of the largest gambling resort towns and today after two hundred years of existence is still one of the most popular vacation spots in the world. Having an Atlantic City timeshare rental will save you money on accommodations and give you plenty of money to play with in the casinos, on the boardwalk, and in the surrounding tourist attractions the city is known for.
