Race Fans Will Love Daytona Beach Timeshares

Daytona Beach is one of the most popular beach areas in the United States and Daytona Beach timeshares are a hot commodity. Not only is the area the location of many students who converge on it during Spring Break, it is also the home of one of the most popular NASCAR races, the Daytona 500. A Daytona Beach timeshare would save you a lot of money during your trips to watch the race, to enjoy fun in the sun on the beach and to visit many of the historical attractions the town holds.

Daytona Beach has been a haven for vacationers for over a hundred years. The area was discovered during the late 1800s by tycoons from the north who felt that the land would be great for investment. Matthias Day was the founding father of the city and his hotel, the Palmetto House, was erected in 1874. Shortly after that the city grew into a commercial center and by 1900 the citys riverfront had grown and was catering to travelers from all over the world. John D. Rockefeller was the discoverer of Ormond Beach and today many of Daytonas famous golf courses are found in that area.

The city is also well known as being home to many civil rights events that made an impact on American society. Jackie Robinson, the first black American baseball player, played in the very first integrated spring training. He was part of the Montreal Royals, which was the farm team for the Brooklyn Dodgers, before moving on into the Major Leagues. He became the first black American to ever play in the Major Leagues and went on to break numerous records. Additionally, Daytona Beach was the first city to host a college specifically for black American woman. Bethune-Cookman College enrolls over 2,300 students annually to this day.

Hato Cave once used by the Arawak Indians as shelter, Hato Cave is filled with stalactites and stalagmites as well as petroglyphs that date back 1,500 years ago. The caves were also used by escaped slaves and today are the home of the areas nectar sucking bat population.

Families and couples alike will find a Daytona Beach timeshare a great investment and afford them a fun place to go on vacations. With a Daytona Beach timeshare, you can save a good deal of money on accommodations as well as food.
